Dr. Georgia Melagraki is an experienced consultant in chemoinformatics, applied drug discovery and materials projects and she is a Lecturer (P.D. 407/80) teaching Chemistry in Hellenic Naval Academy since 2008. Dr. Melagraki has received her B.Sc & M.Eng, M.Sc and PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Technology, Computational Mechanics and Computational & Organic Chemistry respectively from the School of Chemical Engineering (NTUA). Later she has pursued management studies towards an MBA from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (NTUA).  During her studies she has received several scholarships and distinctions.

Dr Melagraki has a strong scientific background in the field of chemoinformatics and organic chemistry. Her research is mainly focused in drug discovery, material design and properties prediction and she has developed several computational tools to support decisions under uncertainty using virtual screening and informatics methods that significantly reduce costs and timescales.
Her research has received funding from several competitive EU and national grants.

Her scientific work has been published in 38 original research articles (9 as a corresponding author) and 2 Editorials in international peer reviewed journals. Her articles have been highlighted several times in the top cited and accessed articles and she has been included in the most productive authors in the field of Chemoinformatics (bibliometric analysis performed by Prof. Peter Willet). According to Google Scholar her h-index is 21 and her work has been cited 1112 times.

She is a reviewer in leading scientific journals (more than 30) and invited member of Editorial Boards in top scientific international journals. Recently she has been invited as Guest Editor in Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening journal.
